Delphine Wibaux sort dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019Arts et de Design Marseille-M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e en 2014. Depuis, elle a collabor\u00e9 avec la Fondation Luma, les Ateliers Medicis, la Collection Lambert, le Parc Saint L\u00e9ger, les Capucins ou encore le mus\u00e9e Dauphinois. \u00c0 l’international, elle a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 ses recherches au Japon, en Chine, en Lettonie ainsi qu’en G\u00e9orgie dans le cadre de Tbilisi Art Fair.<\/p>\n

Travaillant, selon les projets, seule ou en collaboration, Delphine Wibaux utilise diff\u00e9rents mediums – image, sculpture, installation, \u00e9criture, son – afin de mettre au point ce qu\u2019elle nomme des Captations. Attentive aux signaux faibles, elle cherche de mani\u00e8re sensible \u00e0 raviver le sens et la perception \u00e0 l’\u00e9gard du vivant.<\/p>\n

L\u2019artiste est laur\u00e9ate du prix 2018 des galeries Art-O-Rama, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivi d’un solo show puis de l\u2019\u00e9dition d\u2019une monographie sur son travail, avec en prologue un texte de Jean-Christophe Bailly. Fin 2019, ce dernier la convie au s\u00e9minaire du Jeu de Paume intitul\u00e9 \u00ab Voir le temps venir \u00bb. Selon lui, le temps est \u00ab le commun d\u00e9nominateur de ses interventions, lesquelles peuvent appara\u00eetre comme des \u00e9tats de forme saisis dans leur devenir au sein de processus parfois tr\u00e8s longs. Les donn\u00e9es des sciences de la nature, un vif sentiment du dehors, une \u00e9criture de traces discr\u00e8tes et enfin une d\u00e9licatesse d\u2019approche remarquable font penser \u00e0 une forme d\u2019art nouvelle, po\u00e9tique et bricol\u00e9e, dont l\u2019inscription dans l\u2019espace rel\u00e8ve d\u2019une sorte de jardinage in\u00e9dit. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Cette sculpture, imagin\u00e9e pour BIS, nomm\u00e9e \u00ab T\u00e9moin souple \u00bb et d\u00e9pos\u00e9e sur les graviers, dialogue avec deux arbres gardiens – rhizomes de ce jardinage in\u00e9dit. L’image r\u00e9v\u00e8le la cime d\u2019un arbre ou de racines, en intime relation avec les fossiles pr\u00e9sents au sein du calcaire.<\/p>\n

Delphine Wibaux graduated from the \u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure d’Arts et de Design Marseille-M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e in 2014. She has since collaborated with the Luma Foundation, the Ateliers Medicis, the Collection Lambert, the Parc Saint L\u00e9ger, the Capucins and the Mus\u00e9e Dauphinois, amongst others. Internationally, the artist has developed her research in Japan, in China, in Latvia and in Georgia for Tbilisi Art Fair.<\/em><\/p>\n

Working alone or in collaboration with others, depending on the project, Delphine Wibaux uses different mediums – images, sculptures, installations, writing, sounds – to develop what she calls Captations. Attentive to weak signals, she seeks, in a sensitive, manner to restore meaning and perception to the living.<\/em><\/p>\n

The artist won the Art-O-Rama gallery prize, which was followed by a solo show in 2018, and a monograph has been published on her work, with a text by Jean-Christophe Bailly. At the end of 2019, he invited her to the Jeu de Paume seminar entitled “Voir le temps venir”. According to him, time is “the common denominator of her interventions, which can appear as states of form captured during their evolution within what are sometimes very long processes. Data from the natural sciences, a keen impression of the outside, a writing of discrete imprints and, finally, a remarkable delicacy of approach make one think of\u0300 a new, poetic and bricolage art form, whose inscription in space constitutes a kind of unprecedented gardening.”<\/em><\/p>\n

This sculpture imagined for BIS, called “T\u00e9moin souple”, and placed on gravel, dialogues with two guardian trees – rootstocks from this new gardening. The image reveals the crown of a tree or roots, in an intimate relationship with the fossils present within the limestone.<\/em><\/p>\n
