His works revisit vanished architectural elements by integrating different techniques such as sculpture, drawing, engraving, light, video art and audio recordings.\u00a0<br>A conceptual artist, he works by hand, using skills acquired over the years: forging, carpentry, electricity, masonry and plasticity. Shimoyama cherche \u00e0 d\u00e9peindre le corps masculin noir queer comme quelque chose de d\u00e9sirable et de d\u00e9sir\u00e9.<br>Il explore le myst\u00e8re et la magie dans le processus de compr\u00e9hension de ses origines et se penche \u00e9galement sur la politique de la culture queer.<br>Son travail s\u2019inspire des canons des ma\u00eetres tels Caravage et Goya, tout en y ajoutant une -expression et une sensualit\u00e9 plus contemporaines. Avec l\u2019utilisation de divers mat\u00e9riaux : -peinture \u00e9clabouss\u00e9e, pochoirs, paillettes noires, strass et paillettes, Shimoyama cr\u00e9e des pi\u00e8ces qui -capturent l\u2019esprit magique des \u00eatres humains.\u00a0<br><br><em>Devan Shimoyama (Philadelphia, 1989) is a visual artist who works primarily with self-portraiture and narratives inspired by classical mythology and allegory. Shimoyama seeks to portray the queer black male body as something desirable and desired. He explores the mystery and magic in the process of understanding his origins and also looks at the politics of queer culture.\u00a0<br>His work is inspired by the canons of masters such as Caravaggio and Goya, while adding a contemporary expression and sensuality. Cette exploration le m\u00e8ne directement \u00e0 la sculpture et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9laboration de formes d\u2019art radicales. L\u2019artiste poursuit ses premiers travaux appel\u00e9s \u00ab sculptures-outils \u00bb et installe peu \u00e0 peu des principes formels de r\u00e9p\u00e9titions et de modules rectilignes, toujours pr\u00e9sents aujourd\u2019hui.\u00a0<br>Depuis 2004, ses recherches sur la ligne l\u2019orientent vers une g\u00e9om\u00e9trie nouvelle qu\u2019il nommera \u00ab\u00a0g\u00e9om\u00e9trie incidente \u00bb. Pens\u00e9e comme une mise en relation d\u2019un plan et d\u2019une verticale,\u00a0la ligne ne peut donc plus, lors de son d\u00e9ploiement dans l\u2019espace, ob\u00e9ir aux r\u00e8gles classiques de la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie. Nicolas Sanhes a trouv\u00e9 et affirme son v\u00e9ritable style.\u00a0<br><br><em>Graduated from the \u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts in Perpignan, Nicolas Sanhes (Rodez, 1965) used tar as a plastic medium during his early years.\u00a0This exploration led him directly to sculpture and the development of radical art forms. The artist continued with his first works called &#8220;tool-sculptures&#8221; and gradually established formal principles of repetition and rectilinear modules, which are still present today.\u00a0<br>Since 2004, his research on the line has oriented him towards a new geometry that he calls &#8220;incidental geometry&#8221;. Thought of as a relationship between a plane and a vertical, the line, when deployed in space, can no longer obey the classical rules of geometry. Driven by intuition and craftsmanship, the artist combines sculpture, drawings and organic materials in installations that often speak to universal notions related to manual labour, tradition and community.\u00a0<br>In March 2019, Martin Belou presented his first solo gallery show in Marseille at Catherine Bastides Projects, in partnership with Triangle France &#8211; Ast\u00e9rides. Since 1985, the artist has been specifically interested in the sound analysis of words, conducting her research at the Centre for Electronic Music founded by Iannis Xenakis. Le vent dans son travail sculptural est essentiel pour donner vie in-situ \u00e0 ses cr\u00e9ations.<br>Il s\u2019amuse \u00e0 interroger le r\u00e9el, interpr\u00e9tant avec son imaginaire des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s et choses physiques.<br><br><em>Graduated from the \u00c9cole de Communication Visuelle de Paris in artistic direction, Fab Nut exhibited his first light installations on the fringes of Parisian musical events, then returned to Saint-Paul de Vence, the village where he grew up, to work on new avenues of research, which led to a body of work that he calls &#8220;The universe is vibration&#8221;. Applying his conceptual graphics &#8220;from the atom to planetary ensembles&#8221; in acrylic paint on canvas, wooden mobiles argue his point of view on physical matter and the imperceptible. The wind in his sculptural work is essential to give life in-situ to his creations.
