Cortex Athletico est une structure qui s’est cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 2003 \u00e0 Bordeaux autour de la production d’oeuvre.
En 2006, cette association devient une galerie, et commence alors \u00e0 soutenir le travail d’artistes dans une exigence internationale, depuis Bordeaux. La question de cette g\u00e9ographie p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 l’une des r\u00e9flexions de l’\u00e9quipe, consid\u00e9rant que la marge est parfois plus un incubateur plus cr\u00e9atif que le centre.<\/p>\n

Beaucoup de collaborations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 imagin\u00e9es dans la galerie \u00e0 la rencontre d’autres disciplines connexes (danse, th\u00e9\u00e2tre, musique, performance …) ; de programmations sp\u00e9cifiques et parall\u00e8les comme China Girl (films d’artistes) ou les archives de Rolf Julius.<\/p>\n

La galerie Cortex Athletico installe \u00e0 Paris une antenne en 2013, puis en 2015 d\u00e9m\u00e9nage pour un nouvel espace. Afin de se concentrer sur ce projet ambitieux, la structure de Bordeaux ferme ses portes. Pour consolider son d\u00e9veloppement, l’image graphique de la galerie \u00e9volue et elle change de nom pour s’appeler \u00e0 terme Galerie Thomas Bernard.<\/p>\n

La galerie est membre du CPGA (Comit\u00e9 Professionnel des Galeries d’Art).<\/p>\n

Cortex Athletico is a structure founded in 2003 in Bordeaux for the production of artworks. In 2006, this association becomes a gallery and starts supporting the work of artists in an international requirement, from Bordeaux. The question of this regional geography has always been one of the subjects of reflection of the staff, considering that the margin is sometimes more creatively incubative that the centre.<\/em><\/p>\n

A large number of collaborative projects were imagined in the gallery while meeting other closely related disciplines (dance, theatre, music, performance, etc.); or specific and parallel programs such as China Girl (artist’s films) or the archives of Rolf Julius.<\/em><\/p>\n

The gallery Cortex Athletico installs a secondary space in Paris in 2013, then moves, in 2015, to a new location. In order to focus on this ambitious project, the structure in Bordeaux closes for good. To reinforce its development, the graphic image of the gallery evolves and changes its name to become at last Galerie Thomas Bernard.<\/em><\/p>\n
