Les objets qu\u2019elle cr\u00e9e, \u00e0 la fois instruments de musique, \u00e9l\u00e9ments de d\u00e9cors et personnages principaux de performances film\u00e9es, refusent all\u00e8grement d\u2019\u00eatre enferm\u00e9s dans une identit\u00e9 d\u00e9finie. \u00c0 travers ses films et ses installations, la jeune sculptrice cr\u00e9e des liens entre diff\u00e9rents mondes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Caroline Mesquita poursuit sa qu\u00eate d\u2019une identit\u00e9 multiple et changeante. Elle questionne les limites des corps et des mat\u00e9riaux qu\u2019elle utilise, ainsi que les limites du m\u00e9dium sculptural lui-m\u00eame. La d\u00e9construction et le r\u00e9assemblage incessants des identit\u00e9s de ses personnages prennent corps \u00e0 travers la fragmentation de leurs corps robotiques et d\u00e9sordonn\u00e9s. The objects she creates, which are at once musical instruments, set pieces and the main characters in filmed performances, cheerfully refuse to be confined within a defined identity. Through her films and installations, the young sculptor creates links between different worlds.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Caroline Mesquita is pursuing her quest for a multiple and changing identity. She questions the limits of the bodies and materials she uses, as well as the limits of the sculptural medium itself. The incessant deconstruction and reassembly of her characters&#8217; identities takes shape through the fragmentation of their disordered, robotic bodies.
