Son travail explore la relation entre le monde naturel et le monde construit par l\u2019homme, tout en examinant de mani\u00e8re critique les structures de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 m\u00e9diatis\u00e9e. S\u2019inspirant d\u2019une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de sources, dont la litt\u00e9rature, les sciences du comportement animal, les math\u00e9matiques, les \u00e9checs et la sociologie, ses \u0153uvres provocantes s\u2019engagent directement dans leur environnement, produisant une relation complexe entre le temps et l\u2019espace. Her work explores the relationship between the natural and man-made worlds, while critically examining the structures of mediated reality. Drawing on a wide variety of sources, including literature, animal behavioural science, mathematics, chess and sociology, his provocative works engage directly with their environment, producing a complex relationship between time and space. Combining the temporal qualities of video with the architectural dimension of his physical installation, Thater&#8217;s work explores the artifice of his own production and its ability to construct perception and shape the way we think about the world through its image.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In addition to video walls and other innovative video installation practices, Thater has pioneered the art of 360-degree video installation with his groundbreaking works China (1995), relay (a collaboration with T.
