Imane Far\u00e8s fonde en 2010 la galerie \u00e9ponyme \u00e0 Paris, avec pour ambition de valoriser les pratiques d\u2019artistes contemporains du continent africain et des mondes arabes. Cet engagement fort vis-\u00e0-vis de sc\u00e8nes artistiques rarement mises en avant r\u00e9sonne avec sa double identit\u00e9 libanaise et s\u00e9n\u00e9galaise.<\/p>\n

La galerie soutient Sinzo Aanza, Basma al-Sharif, Sammy Baloji, Ali Cherri, Emeka Ogboh, Youn\u00e8s Rahmoun et James Webb.<\/p>\n

Reconnue par ses pairs comme pr\u00e9curseur de cette transformation des cartographies de l\u2019art, la galerie repr\u00e9sente sept artistes, dont les travaux s\u2019\u00e9tendent \u00e0 un large spectre de m\u00e9diums : installations, \u0153uvre dans l\u2019espace public, film, photographie, dessin, mais aussi \u00e9criture romanesque et th\u00e9\u00e2trale et commissariat d\u2019exposition. Elle organise de mani\u00e8re syst\u00e9matique leurs premi\u00e8res expositions personnelles en France.<\/p>\n

Pour accompagner leur travail, elle met un point d\u2019honneur \u00e0 leur apporter un soutien mat\u00e9riel inconditionnel et \u00e0 favoriser l\u2019\u00e9mergence d\u2019un discours critique autour de leurs projets.<\/p>\n

In 2010, Imane Far\u00e8s founded the eponymous gallery in Paris, with the ambition to promote the practices of contemporary artists from the African continent and the Arab worlds. This strong commitment to artistic scenes that are rarely put forward, resonates with her dual Lebanese and Senegalese identity.<\/p>\n

The gallery represents: Sinzo Aanza, Basma al-Sharif, Sammy Baloji, Ali Cherri, Emeka Ogboh, Youn\u00e8s Rahmoun, and James Webb.<\/p>\n

The gallery has been recognized by its peers as a precursor of this transformation of the art world\u2019s cartography and now represents seven artists, whose work spans a wide range of media: installation, public sculpture, film, photography, drawing, but also fiction and theatre writing, as well as curating. It systematically organizes these artists\u2019 first solo exhibitions in France.<\/p>\n

In order to accompany their work, the gallery makes it a point to provide them with unconditional material support and to encourage the creation of critical discourse around their projects.<\/p>\n
