Retour sur l’Édition 2018

Antony Gormley – Big Switch, 2014

The artists chosen by the curatorial team took over twenty public spaces in the village, including its ramparts.

A jury validated the choice of invited artists and selected four young artists from the documents received following our call for applications.

Their presence in this event was particularly important to us as a testimony to the importance of the link between different generations of artists.

“By favouring the discovery of a corner, a square, without ever playing the demonstrative card, this first BIS edition was able to remain on the scale of the village, it emanates a certain poetry in harmony with the spirit of the place. This is not the least of its qualities, in addition to the choice of pieces which shows a desire to show contemporary sculpture in its diversity.
