Galerie Max Hetzler

La galerie Max Hetzler est basée en Allemagne depuis plus de 40 ans, d’abord à Cologne et depuis 1993 à Berlin.

Depuis sa création, Max Hetzler a présenté des expositions d’artistes contemporains établis ou émergents et sa programmation n’a cessé d’évoluer.

Aujourd’hui présente également à Paris ainsi qu’à Londres, elle continue de défendre des artistes de différentes générations, tels que Bridget Riley, Albert Oehlen, Günther Förg, Tursic & Mille ou Giulia Andreani. Des artistes de la scène non occidentale tels que Ernesto Neto (Brésil) ou Ai Weiwei (Chine continentale), deux personnalités très engagées au niveau de la liberté d’expression ou de la protection de la nature, font également partie du programme. En 2022, la galerie a inauguré une résidence d’artiste et une galerie à Marfa (Texas).

La galerie participe aux principales foires internationales, Bâle, Frieze, TEFAF ainsi que leurs éditions satellites (Miami, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Seoul ainsi que Cologne, Chicago ou Dallas) et publie régulièrement des ouvrages sur ses artistes et ses expositions.

Galerie Max Hetzler has been based in Germany for over 40 years, first in Cologne and since 1993 in Berlin.
Since its creation, Max Hetzler has presented exhibitions of both established and emerging contemporary artists and its programming has continued to evolve.
Today it is also present in Paris and London and continues to support artists of different generations, such as Bridget Riley, Albert Oehlen, Günther Förg, Tursic & Mille and Giulia Andreani. Artists from the non-Western scene such as Ernesto Neto (Brazil) or Ai Weiwei (mainland China), two personalities who are very committed to freedom of expression or the protection of nature, are also part of the program. In 2022, the gallery inaugurated an artist residency and a gallery in Marfa (Texas).
The gallery participates in the main international fairs, Basel, Frieze, TEFAF and their satellite editions (Miami, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Seoul as well as Cologne, Chicago or Dallas) and regularly publishes books on its artists and exhibitions.
